Greetings,
I am Engineer Hussam, residing in Gaza Strip - Palestine, with my family consisting of my father, mother, four distinguished engineer brothers, and two married sisters, the eldest holding a bachelor's degree in pharmacy and the youngest working in journalism. Unfortunately, our father passed away when I was fourteen years old.
Despite the challenges, I excelled academically and graduated from high school with distinction, achieving a GPA of 98.4% in the scientific track. Subsequently, I pursued Software Engineering and graduated with honors, earning the first rank in the College of Engineering and Information Technology at Al-Azhar University - Gaza. Additionally, I had the opportunity to represent Palestine in the international ACPC competition held in the Arab Republic of Egypt, I personally created this fundraising website amidst the conditions of war to illustrate the hardships I've endured and the struggles of Gaza. I will continue to improve it whenever the opportunity arises, as we face extremely difficult circumstances in providing reliable internet and electricity.
My siblings and I continued to work diligently despite all the personal challenges we faced. We managed to save enough to start each of us on our own paths towards stability and security, building four small apartments. However, our dreams were shattered due to the ravages of war that accumulated upon us. We lost our beloved mother, and my eldest brother bore the devastating loss for his entire family, except for one child who is three years old. Additionally, my journalist sister lost her husband and one of her daughters, who was also three years old.
We, the brothers, and my nephew Hatem, also suffered severe injuries, burns, and wounds whose effects and treatments are still being treated to this day. Alongside the profound personal losses, we also lost our family home, the four apartments that were under construction, and the savings we had painstakingly accumulated.
Now, we humbly seek your support to rebuild what we have lost. Below are the details of the assistance needed:
- $60,000: The cost of rebuilding a family apartment.
- $10,000: Electrical appliances, household appliances, furnishings and clothing.
- $120,000: Construction of four small residential apartments (each apartment estimated at $30,000).
- $4,000: Installing an integrated solar energy system to ensure electricity so that we can carry out our daily lives and work.
- $15,000: Covering the total financial savings we incurred as a result of the house fire and destruction.
